Two-piece forged steel ball valves consist of two separate parts: one is the valve body with flange end connections, and the other is the body cap that fits into the valve body and holds the valve seat and seal. This design allows the two-piece ball valve to provide sufficient internal space, allowing the use of a larger ball.
It is usually a full-bore design, the inner diameter of the valve is the same as the inner diameter of the pipe.
The two-piece ball valve controls the opening and closing of the fluid by rotating 90 degrees. When the handle is at a 90-degree angle to the pipe, the valve is closed; when the handle is parallel to the pipe, the valve is open.
In addition, this design also supports throttling function, and the flow rate can be controlled by adjusting the position of the ball.
